Maria Guzman

Maria Guzman of Carpentersville passed away on January 5, 2024 at her residence in Carpentersville, surrounded with her loving family. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 11, 2024 from 4pm to 9pm at the Dundee Funeral Home 525 Dundee Ave., East Dundee ( Across from the Dundee Township Cemetery East on Rt. 25 & 72 ) Mass of Christian Burial 11am at St. Monica Catholic Church in Carpentersville. Interment Dundee Township Cemetery East.

Beloved wife and mother, Maria Guzman sadly passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at the age of 75. She is survived by her spouse Nahum Sandoval. Her children Elva Le (Hung), Laura Segura (Jose), Marco Flores (Kelli), Andy Flores (Lisandra), Brenda Sandoval (Dennis Ernest). Grandchildren Steve (Nicole), Cynthia (Mark), Crystal (Greg), Ashley, Ismael, Damon (Skylar), Dayna, Jadrian, Brian, Dana, Lyzander, Gisele and Charlotte. Six great grandchildren and many extended family members.

Our mom was a long time resident of Carpentersville. She was an entrepreneur, opening a clothing store, Maria’s Fashions. Originally in Elgin and then moving to Carpentersville in the Meadowdale Shopping Center. She met and helped many people through her business. Hearing the stories of so many people, we are in awe by how many lives she touched and how much she was loved and respected in our community. Our mom had a very vibrant and energetic personality. She was always throwing parties or hosting family dinners. She brought joy and hope to so many by always offering a helping hand to someone in need.

We will miss our matriarch but we hope to keep her legacy alive through the memories we share of her.

Querida esposa y mamá, María Guzmán falleció el Viernes 5 de Enero del 2024 a la edad de 75. Sobrevivida por su esposo Nahum Sandoval. Sus hijos Elva Le (Hung), Laura Flores (José), Marco Flores (Kelli), Andy Flores (Lisandra), Brenda Sandoval (Dennis Ernest). Sus nietos

Steve (Nicole), Cynthia (Mark), Crystal (Greg), Ashley, Ismael, Damon (Skylar), Dayna, Jadrian, Brian, Dana, Lyzander, Gisele and Charlotte. Seis bisnietos y muchos más familiares.

Nuestra mamá vivió en Carpentersville por muchos años. Empezó su primer negocio, María’s Fashions en Elgin. Luego movió su negocio a Carpentersville en el Meadowdale Shopping Center. Ella conoció y ayudó a mucha gente al través de su negocio. Escuchando las historias de tanta gente que la conoció nos da mucha alegría de saber que fue querida y respetada. Nuestra mamá tenía una personalidad alegre y llena de energía. Siempre estaba teniendo fiestas y haciendo cenas para su familia. Ella trajo esperanza y alegría a muchos y siempre ofrecido ayuda a los de más.

La vamos a extrañar bastante pero vamos a mantenerla con nosotros compartiendo las lindas memorias que tenemos de ella.
