Lloyd Edgar Hopkins Jr., of Carpentersville passed away at home surrounded by his loving family May 11, 2023.  Born December 15, 1946 in Chicago to Lloyd Edgar Sr. and Coralie Hopkins.  Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Hopp); loving father of Steve (Elizabeth) Hopkins and Christine (Keith) Hopkins-Muehl; doting grandfather of Andrew, Aubrey and Ericka Hopkins; caring brother of Grant Hopkins, Darrell Hopkins and Mary Shebeck; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bryan Hopkins and sister Coralie Ross.  He was an avid model railroad train collector, and also loved fishing and motorcycles.  Lloyd will be remembered most for his unique sense of humor, and for always 'telling it like it is'.  He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

Join us for a time of visitation Wednesday May 17, 2023 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Dundee Funeral Home 525 Dundee Ave., East Dundee IL 60118.  Graveside services will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Association at donate.cancer.org or to Save A Pet Inc. in Grayslake IL at saveapetil.org (Live links to donate are below)
