Kenneth Davis Jones, 60 of Ottawa, Illinois passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born in Elgin, Illinois to Walter and Billie Rose Jackson. Kenneth attended grade school and high school in Elgin, Illinois and graduated from Elgin High School. Kenneth went on to work and live in the Elgin area. Kenneth was an avid Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox fan. He enjoyed watching sports, fixing cars and fixing anything else that he could. He had an amazing love of cars and owned just about every car you could image throughout is life. There was nothing that he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was very adventurous and would help anyone that needed it. Kenneth touched the lives of so many people in one way or another. He talked to anyone and everyone. He loved to talk and he was knowledgeable in so many things. Kenneth began working at Costco in 2017 and loved is job there. Kenneth remained and was still employed at Costco until his passing. Kenneth became chronically ill in 2020 and fought a long hard battle with his health. Thanks to the entire medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, we were able to get more time with him. He fought for 2 years and now he is at peace.
Kenneth is survived by his fiancé, Julie Eichelkraut of Ottawa; his son, Nick (Amy) Marcoux of Chanute, Kansas; daughters, Keri Jones of Elgin, Shantay Jones of Alexandria, Louisiana, Tori (Sean) Roulette of Lake in the Hills, Il., Jasolyn (Evan) Koski of Campton Hills, Il. and Justine Binder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kenneth is also survived by his grandchildren, Kanika, Arianna and Kiara Marcoux, Montay Mooney, Antonio Wilder-Douglas, Josiah Shanks, Sarai Jones, Serenity, Adryanna and Antonio Pontiflet; his brother, Steve Jones of Elgin; step-brothers, Walter and Claude Jackson; step-sisters, Caroline and Beverly Jackson; half-sisters, Pat Montgomery, Elaine and Sharon Dean; and many nieces and nephews. Kenneth also had a special relationship with Diane Eichelkraut, his “mother-in-law”. They loved going on their shopping trips together. Kenneth was surrounded by so many people that loved and cared for him. Kenneth was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Danielle Jones, half-brothers Jerome and Fernando Dean.
