Joesph F. Willard Jr.

Joseph Francis Willard Jr., passed away suddenly October 15, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  Born January 15, 1943 in Chicago to the late Jospeh F. and Lottie (Sowa) Willard. Beloved husband of Alice Mae Willard (Robertson); loving father of Joseph (Marilyn) Willard III, Misty (Mike) Palazzo and Heather (Milke) Popilek; caring grandfather of Joey Willard IV, the recently late Aaron Willard, Devin Palazzo, Dylan Palazzo, Claire Popilek, Owen Popilek and Emily Popilek; doting great grandfather of Jojo Willard V; fond brother of Terry (Jim) Millican, Bob Willard and the late Loriane Willard.  Joesph and Alice were married March 8, 1962, this year they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage together.  During those years they raised a beautiful family, which was the joy of Joeseph's life.  He was an avid sports lover whether he was playing or watching, he was enjoying it. He passed down his love of sports to his children and was active in watching their practices and games as often as he could.  Joseph was also a true and dedicated man of faith, he was an active member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years. With his very generous spirit he gave in many ways, including mentoring many youths, which he enjoyed very much.  Outside of church and family, Joseph was a dedicated provider working as a senior telecommunications technician, where he was a very valued and respected employee, and admired by many of his colleagues. Please join us in honoring Joseph F. Willard Jr. for a time of visitation Sunday October 23, 2022 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Dundee Funeral Home 525 Dundee Ave., East Dundee IL. A service will be held at 3:00pm.  In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association in honor of his wife Alice who is impacted by this disease, or to The Harry D. Jacobs Choir Booster Club in memory of Joseph to support music for all. (Links to donations below)
