Catherine Ann Herzog

Catherine Ann Herzog of Elgin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family December 26, 2020 in Elgin. Born September 20, 1968 in Chicago to Raymond and Lorraine Hartman. Beloved wife of Dale; loving mother of Cecilia (Mike) Losiowski of Crystal Lake and Jessica Hartman of Chicago; caring grandmother of Amelia Ann and Caleb Ryan; fond sister of Jennifer (Scott) Colella, of Hoffman Estates, Kenneth Hartman of Indiana, Kimberly Munts of Wisconsin, Daniel Diasio III of Indiana, Doreen (Roy) Matchette of Florida, and Debbie (Steve) Walton of Texas.

To our beautiful mother, wife, sister, cousin, grandma, aunt and friend, There’s  not a day that will go by that your love and devotion will not live on in us. You are missed so terribly already by everyone. We know that your kids were your world and your grandbabies your universe.  Family was everything to you and we promise to keep that family close. You have touched so many people that have had the pleasure of knowing you. The memories you have created for us will last a lifetime.  Life was not easy for you, and sometimes it’s  hard to comprehend why you were dealt such a bad hand when it came to health, but your spirits were always high. Your outlook was bright and beautiful. Nothing got in your way of celebrating your favorite things like holidays, especially Christmas. Nothing got in the way of watching your favorite shows like Greys and the Chicagos. Nothing stopped you from being the sassy, bold, courageous person you were. I hope you know how much you are loved. You will forever live in our hearts. Rest in peace our sweet angel.
